SSH tunnels won&amp;rsquo;t help — they only work with TCP ports. socat solves this: it opens a TCP listener and forwards connections to a Unix socket, and the client just connects over the network.&lt;/p&gt;&#10;&lt;h2 id="installation"&gt;Installation&#10;&lt;/h2&gt;&#10;&lt;p&gt;The package is available in every major distribution.
